A will add cell A14 to cell A8 (a colon between A14 and A8 would indicate all cells in the range A14 to A8, but a comma is only the two cells).
B will add 15 to cell C8.
C will calculate a loan payment (loan amt in D412, payment number in E4, and number of payments in C4 - I think).
